Blue Damsel (Blue Devil) -Abudefduf cyaneus

This is a picture of my Blue Damsel. Damsels are one of the most popular marine fish. They are extremely hardy and easy to keep. They are also one of the few fish capable of surviving the new aquarium cycling process.

To top it all off, Blue Damsels are one of the cheapest marine fish. They sell for between $3 and $5 and are found at most marine retailers. A word of caution though - all damselfish tend to be quite aggressive and territorial. They are best kept in small schools of odd numbers, where they will concentrate on squabbling with each other - instead of other tank mates.
