AIRPLANES 'N STUFF

Welcome to my "Airplanes 'N Stuff" page.    I have been a pilot since 1991.  The little Cessna 152 at the top of the page was an old rental that I completed my private pilot's license in at the now closed Coronado Airport in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  They called her "The Frog" because of the green stripes - and probably because students used to bouncer her onto the runway in the thin air of the mile high airport.

In 1997 I purchased my first airplane - a Piper Cherokee 140.  Click on the picture of Tracy and I for more info about our Piper Cherokee.

In 2006 I added a Piper Arrow II to my collection.  She is a lot faster (mainly because the wheels retract on the Arrow and not on the Cherokee) with a 200 h.p. fuel injected Lycoming engine.  She is also equipped with an autopilot and more modern avionics (like my King HSI which is slaved to the autopilot).

Most of my adventures begin at the Phoenix-Goodyear Airport (KGYR). Click on the photo of Goodyear Tower for more.
